HTML 5 is the new way that all we will have to follow and as we all know from before, the tags <frame>, <iframe> and <noframes> are not good, now they are mentioned as harmful by W3. That is also really bad for the SEO of the website, as it is not very google-friendly, although till now it was possible and used by a lot of SEO providing companies.
The structure of the webpage is also changed with HTML 5. We hope that at least the “<html><head></head><body></body></html>” tags will remain unchanged. New headings will arise and the known <h1> - <h6> will include a <article> tag, which won’t affect the already made optimizations of websites.
What effect are the new html5 elements going to have?
The new <nav> and <footer> tags seem to be more important for the major search engines (Google, Yahoo, etc.) in the future, so SEO updates on your website will be highly recommended once you start losing your ranking.
Another interesting tag is <aside>, that will be used for disseminating elements from the website. Comments for example will be separated via <aside> or <dialog> tags that will make the search engines not lose the focus on the main content of the website.
The new version html5 will be very different from the others, so the big stress will appear with its global release. We are already preparing for the future, so if you would like us to examine your website and analyze the potential stress points and react on time, so you don’t lose any page-ranking, please feel free to contact us immediately.
